We can thank the Hairspray movie for introducing this star hair product to a new generation. The number of people who rely on this fine mist for everyday wear is higher than you think.
It provides an essential function – finishing off any look with hold while making your do look natural.
Like mascara, finding the right brand for your hair is tricky. Those with poker straight hair need more hold than those with naturally textured locks. We have tested some of the best brands on the market to find out which ones work best.

Sleeping with makeup on is a major no no. It clogs your pores, creates a breeding ground for bacteria, eyelashes become dry and brittle, and skin doesn’t have a chance to repair itself while you snooze.
If you know that you get lazy after a long day at work or night on the town, try leaving a package of face wipes beside your bed. It is super easy to quickly cleanse your face before you fall asleep.
We have tested some of the top brands of cleansing cloths to find out which ones really work. (more…)

Razor burn, cuts and bumps are dirty words when it comes to smooth legs. To get the best results from shaving, you need a good combination of razor and technique.

Slather legs with a shaving cream or gel before you shave – this will allow your razor to glide over the area. Because shaving exfoliates the skin, you need to follow up with your favourite body cream, lotion or oil to prevent dryness.
Razors come in different shapes, sizes and with different numbers of blades and moisture strips. You need to find the right one for you. Just remember to change your blade every two weeks or so, depending on how often you want to be fuzz free. (more…)

Tanned skin makes you look healthy and maybe even a tiny bit more fit, but UVA and UVB rays permanently damage the skin. The safe way to get bronzed is to fake it. Sunless tanners have improved leaps and bounds over in the last few years.
Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is the most common active ingredient in sunless tanning products. It reacts with your outermost layer of skin to temporarily darken it. The colour won’t wash off but will eventually fade with exfoliation in five to seven days.
For the best results, and to avoid zebra stripes, use a tone that matches your skin’s shade. The darker colours will give you faster results but won’t look as natural. Exfoliate and shave your legs before you apply any product, and wash your hands afterwards. Try using less on areas with thick skin, like around the feet, elbows and knees. These spots tend to absorb more product. (more…)
