Sustainable Style: Love Bottles

We’re not going to tout the benefits of water, we all know what they are. We’re also not going to preach about the enormous amount of waste plastic water bottles create (hey, we’ll even admit to grabbing the convenience of our favorite bottle of water every now and then). However, we are going to promise to make a more conscious effort to drink from the tap, with a glass of course, and we’re even going to take a refillable water bottle to spin class. (more…)

And you’re right, not all those gorgeous leathers fit under the sustainable style label, but we’re thrilled that Vancouver-based designer Ashley Watson has found a way to indulge us. Inspired by the original features of soft and gently worn jackets, Ashley Watson designs her one-of-a-kind leather products using exclusively recycled material purchased from charity thrift stores. Using classic and boldly coloured materials (alls bags retain their original colour, so no dye is used), Watson incorporates original features, such as pockets, buttons and seams, into each unique bag or wallet design.
