We think that Stéphane Marais for MAC Cosmetics did an amazing job with the beauty look for Zac Posen’s Spring/Summer 2010 runway show. Very pretty and so fresh. We love how the eyes sparkle. (more…)

Once again Chanel has created a stunning spring colour collection - Les Impressions de Chanel Collection. Yes, we are fans and are more than happy to gush about it.
Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Make Up, used this new collection - which has very soft “nude” shades, pinks, light browns and beiges as well as touches of gold and green - for the Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show.
“I focused the make-up on Nature: Chic beige tones, very pure, fresh and optimistic with a slight touch of rebellion: the tattoos!” said Philips. Ah yes, those very cool tattoos. We love them!
Here is how Peter Philips created this chic outdoors look:

Derek Lam’s inspiration for Spring/Summer 2010 drew from a nostalgic fantasy evoked by places such as Coney Island, Asbury Park, and Key West. It was a parade of carnival essence and cinematic quality with an American twist meant to bring forth a new perspective on silhouette.
Lead artist Tom Pecheux for NARS Cosmetics created vibrant eyes and bright, cherry-red lips complemented by a doll-like flush of pink and orange.
“I wanted to dot the lips red with my fingers rather than draw a straight line of color. Instead, I chose to do that with the eyes- I love when the multiple colors are drawn straight across and outward for a very tribal effect. I used the new Easy Lover lip gloss on just the outline of the lips to have the girls appear doll-like. It was Coney Island chic,” said Tom Pecheux.
We are not sure if we’ll wear this for shopping with the gals, but it could be fun for a night out on the town.

Spring at J. Mendel is about ethereal silhouettes and soft textures, so the makeup reflected this inspiration through clean, matte skin, light pink cheeks and lips, and an elongated smoky eye that is pretty, yet powerful. We love it because it is so natural looking.

Here are the products Bobbi Brown and her team used to create this feminine look:
FACE
Bobbi Brown’s Foundation Stick was used to even out the skin tone. Creamy Concealer and Corrector were used to hide dark circles and blemishes. Pot Rouge in Sand Pink (available in March) provided colour to the cheeks.
EYES
Eye Shadow in Bone was applied on the lower lid and Mink to the crease of the eye. The eyes were lined with Eye Shadow in Mink. Extreme Party Mascara finished off the look.
LIPS
Lip Color in Pale Pink was applied to the lips.
