Colouring your hair is an investment, whether you go to the salon or do it yourself. Good, saturated colour can change the way you feel. The last thing you want is to be left with washed-out locks a few weeks after the process. Sulfates and the environment strip the hair and leave it dull looking. Red lipstick is timeless, and an instant confidence booster. It also seems to be the hottest thing going at the moment. Stars like Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Rachel McAdams have been spotted wearing it, and it adorned the lips of models at a lot of the spring/summer 2009 runway shows.

When it comes to anti-aging, we’re often overwhelmed. We know that sunscreen is non-negotiable and that smoking isn’t cool, but with the selection of peels, moisturizers, exfoliators and serums flooding the marketplace we’re in need of some simple navigation. Luckily, L’Oréal Paris simplifies the process. From its new line, Advanced Revitalift Cream Cleanser and Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate, we’re asked to do two simple things—cleanse and moisturize.
You won’t need a lot of this super creamy cleanser, because it foams easily. After a quick rinse, your skin doesn’t feel tight but is left slightly dewy, prepped and ready for the serum.
After very diligent use (and a thorough examination) our skin felt a heck of a lot smoother to the touch. The tone had evened out, and it wasn’t oily or dry—it was just right. We’ve even skipped wearing foundation for a whole week. It looks like we’re onboard.

We love lip gloss for its shine and glam factor. Less saturated than ‘stick, glosses offer us the best of all worlds with shine, colour and conditioning. We change them without real commitment whenever the mood strikes, which is a good thing considering that women change their minds more often than they change their shoes. We have tested five of the most popular brands to find the best of the best for your lips.
