Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s gypsy dress designs from the 1930s, Peter Philips, Global Creative Makeup Director for Chanel, wanted to reinterpret the language of the vagabond beauty and project it into the future. “The gypsy is a heroine with very distinctive beauty codes,” states Philips. Chanel’s Spring 2009 Collection, Bohemian Fantasy, is all about dark eyes and fiery lips.

The iconic symbol of Chanel has been transformed into a beauty addict’s fantasy. This palette houses five wearable lipstick shades, ranging from pale pink to deep plum, in a glossy black casing.
There are six new shades for the Spring 2009 Collection: Rose Rebelle (rosewood), Euphoria (intense pink), Fiesta (pink apricot), Fuego (coral red), Beige Desire (copper) and Gipsy Scarlet (vibrant red).
