Beauty was instilled in me at an early age. As a child growing up in London, my stylish mother would take me along on her shopping excursions. We’d regularly visit Harvey Nichols, Harrods and Selfridges. My eyes would light up at all the beautiful perfume bottles, inhaling deeply the sweet scents. And the cosmetics—oh, the cosmetics. I wanted every pretty colored shadow and lipstick that I laid my peepers on!

At the age of I believe 11, I received my first bottle of Chanel fragrance —No. 5. That was to be the start of my love for Chanel fragrances, and to this day, I only wear Chanel— though it’s now Allure.

Now, many, many, many years later (back in Canada where I was born), while I was working in the wonderful world of meeting management and marketing, and feeling like my creative talents were being sucked from my body, I stumbled upon the wonderful world of beauty blogs. Each day I would take a break from the monotony and delight in their honest, in-depth beauty coverage. I was curious what would happen if I decided to try my hand at starting a beauty blog. So, in the spring of 2006, I did just that and so began Lipstick Powder N Paint.

Lipstick Powder N Paint is the urban girl’s guide to everything beauty-ful, and we celebrate the best products from all over the world, for the benefit of our gorgeous readers.
