Another one of my favourite looks from this year’s SAG Awards was Rose Byrne. I thought she looked stunning–almost like she was channeling a glamourous 1920s actress. Hung Vanngo, ck one global makeup artist was in charge of her gorgeous beauty look and John Frieda International Creative Consultant, Harry Josh styled Byrne’s hair to perfection.
Vanngo shared what the beauty inspiration was for the look. “When creating actress Rose Byrne’s makeup for the SAG Awards we wanted to complement the dress she was wearing with a soft romantic smoky eye in pastel shades. Then a bright pink lip added a pop of color to complete a beautiful and modern look.”
Here is how you can copy Rose Byrne’s beauty look:
Prep skin with moisturizer and eye cream.
Using a foundation brush, apply ck one 3-in-1 face makeup (Sand was used on Byrne) with few drops of ck one skin illuminator in Warm. After that, add a touch of ck one mousse concealer underneath the eyes and around the nose.
For the cheeks, try ck one cream + blush duo in Posh on the cheekbones and little bit on the temples, using the cream blush first then setting it with the powder blush. To highlight and add dimension, apply ck one skin illuminator in Warm on top of the cheekbones, nose and forehead.
Start by applying ck one double-ended eyeliner in Tender/Vicious, using the brown shade to line the upper outer corner of the lash line. Then, use the pink shade for the upper inner corner and lower lash line blending them really well. Next, apply ck one powder eyeshadow quad’s in Angel and Disco – use the lavender colour in the Disco quad mainly on the upper corner of the eyelids, and soft pink colour in the Angel quad on the rest of eyelid, blending the shades together.
Shape and fill in brows using ck one brow pencil + gel duo (Wily Brunette was used on Byrne).
Finally, swept two coats of the ck one mascara in Show on upper lashes and one coat in the lower lashes.
For a pop of colour try ck one pure color lipstick in Wow, a stunning bright pink shade.
Harry Josh created a modern take on the classic wave by keeping them controlled, glossy and flat to the head.
Here is how you can recreate this look at home:
1. Apply a few pumps of the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Formula Hair Serum through wet hair and blow dried using a large, round bristle brush.
2. After sectioning off the hair, wrap each section around a small curling iron and then carefully brush it out.
3. Finish off the look by applying a sheer coat of John Frieda Frizz-Ease 100% Shine to ensure that waves glisten in the light.
