The Perfect Summer Side Braid

We think that a simple side braid is perfect for hot summer days, don’t you? We LOVE it. Wish our hair was long enough to try this. :(

John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh shares with us the step-by-step instructions so that you can achieve this fabulous look at home.

How to get the look:

STEP 1. Part hair on one side and flip it to the opposite side, brushing the ends over your shoulder. This creates a nice dramatic lift at the roots.

STEP 2. Take a section of the hair now flipped to the side and make a braid.

STEP 3. Brush the ends together to keep hair smooth.

STEP 4. Using this braid and two other sections of hair, create one side braid. Experiment using two or even three small braids to what looks best in your hair.

STEP 5. Gently pull the braid slighty apart with your fingers or a comb to create a loose, tousled look.

STEP 6. Touch up any flyaways with the John Frieda Full Repair Touch-up Flyaway Tamer.

STEP 7. Finish with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Extra Hold Hairspray.

Will you be trying this look?

Pretty! It makes me remember my high school days when everybody is just crazy about different kinds of hairdos. I think this style is going to stay put longer than the single strand braid. Maybe it’s because of the mini braid done on the top. Have you tried modifying it by doing a kind of french braid by the middle?
