Get The Look: Katherine Heigl at ELLE's 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute

Ok, so I was THRILLED to see that Katherine Heigl is a blonde again – sorry if I am waaay slow picking up on this. I thought she looked so drab with her dark brown locks. And it also seemed that her sense of (hair) style went right out the window. Am I wrong? Just look at this image of Katherine at the European Film Premiere of “Killers” where her hair had the crap teased out of it. Nasty.

Past hair nightmares aside, she did look pretty gorge at ELLE’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute. Her hair was beautifully coiffed with the help of celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. I really love her hair and am wondering if I could wear it myself…hmm. Will have to ponder this for a while.

Here is how the look was created:

To start, Babaii applied a dime-sized amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil to Heigl’s clean, damp hair. This product is used to add texture, strength and shine without weighing it down.

Next, he blow dried her hair using the IT&LY Hairfashion Racing Red Ionic Dryer with a small round brush to make both texture and waves on the short cut. He made sure to dry each section at a 90 degree angle for maximum lift at the root while cupping the ends.

After drying, Babaii took the point of a rattail comb to define and position her texture. To create volume and height, he used his fingers to lift small sections as he brought her waves up and back.

Just look at the back of her hair: fantastic movement and so soft and girly. LOVE.

What do you think?

I love blonde hair, and I think it just fits on Katherine Heigl. There is a flaw in her outfit though. This should be something she has to be careful. The bra strap should be under the beautiful dress, not to be seen. :)
