Did you watch the Emmys the other evening? If so, what did you think?
Of course, with any star-studded red carpet event it’s really all about the outfits, hair and makeup. We really don’t care about who wins what award.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2011 Emmy look was created by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. According to Babaii, the look was titled “straight edgy” taking a straight look and disheveling it to create soft texture. We cannot believe how soft and shiney her hair looks! And, it (almost) keeps our eyes from being fixated on her horrendous outfit.
Here is how Babaii created Gwyneth’s look:
- To begin, he took a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil and massaged it into the hair prior to blow drying.
- After the hair was completely dry, he parted her hair down the middle and divided strands into 4 sections (sides, crown and nape).
- To straighten, Babaii used the IT&LY HAIRFASHION 1″ Digital Flat Iron with even temperature control. He started at the nape working up toward the crown and sides.
- To finish and create movement, he added an additional amount of Pequi Oil to his hands running it through her hair and scrunching to create this “straight edgy” look.
