Bronzers Aren’t Just for The Summer

Powder Bronzers

Though the summer may be coming to an end (NO!), we can still add a little luminance and glow to our skin all year round – like we’ve been kissed by the sun. And the best way to do this is with a touch of bronzer. Now we are by no means suggesting you look like you’ve been on a two week vacay to Mexico, every day of the year, but applied correctly, bronzer will just give you a beautiful hint of colour.

We asked Ashlee MacEwen, Beauty Advisor at the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique at Yonge and Carlton, to teach us the proper way to apply our bronzer. “The best way to get a natural, healthy glow is quite easy. First of all, pick a shade that suits your skin tone. For example, if your very fair, don’t pick a bright orangey colour; I would go with something more subtle. You want to use a nice big brush, preferably natural bristles with a flat top. Work some product into your brush, tap off any excess and apply along your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, forehead and just a touch on the chin (where the sun would naturally hit). There’s are a lot out there from shimmer to matte, subtle to intense, so play around and find the best match for yourself!”

Here are nine of our fave bronzers that we know you’ll love.
