I’ve been meaning to test OPI’s Black Shatter polish FOREVER. But with my obsession for Axxium and Shellac it’s been hard.
On Saturday I decided it was about time to put the little bottle to the test; my nails were colour free and needed some serious jazzing-up.
I think I did a pretty good job considering I find it hard to paint my nails – I don’t have the steadiest hand. It was so quick and easy to achieve this super-funky effect that I will sporting this crackle/shattered look again.
Here is what I have on my nails:
STEPS
1. One coat of Base Coat
2. Two coats of polish – I used Essie‘s Smooth Sailing
3. One coat of OPI Black Shatter
4. One coat of Top Coat
Tips: For the best effect, use a really bright base shade. Make sure your nails are completely dry before adding the “crackle” coat. OPI Shatter polish dries matte, so add a top coat to add a bit of shine.
Now that I’m in LOVE with this product, I so want to try the silver version – perfect for summer!
Have you tried any of the OPI Shatter polishes? What do you think about this nail effect?
