Sustainable Style: Prairie Underground

Monday, October 18, 2010

Every fall we start shopping for a new cozy sweater – we just adore hoodies – as something we can wear to Friday night drinks or to our local coffee spot.

The Guinevere (US $248) from Prairie Underground, a Seattle-based line of hoodies, dresses, tanks, and coats made from organic cottons and hemp, is our new comfy favorite. Made from 100 percent organic French terry cotton, and conceived as a jacket with the illusion of layered separates, the Guinevere has double sets of pockets, small ones that hit just below the waist as well as two large pockets created by swags of draped muslin on the hip. Diagonal seaming and gathered insets highlight curves and radiate comfort.

Pair it with leggings or skinny jeans and your fall go-to outfit is complete.
