Green Beauty: SteamCream

Thursday, September 16, 2010

SteamCream ($19 / US $18.00) has taken a classic mission (simple quality skincare) and turned in on its head. Pure, natural, traceable and ethically sourced raw ingredients are transformed into a hydrating and luxurious cream (for body, hands and face).

Oatmeal, almond oil, glycerin, orange flower water, cocoa butter and jojoba oil form the basis of this beautiful smelling cream.

A steam technique is used to loosely bind compounds together to ensure that the soothing and moisturizing components are able to break down and deeply penetrate areas of the skin that other creams find hard to reach. Skin feels supple after one application and the nourishing properties last for hours.

The company is firmly committed to a no animal testing policy, and producing a vegan product. That means that SteamCream never tests their products on animals, and doesn’t buy ingredients from suppliers who test their materials on animals for any purpose. Each eco-friendly aluminum tin features a limited edition design (from Tokyo-based artists Takayuki Totsuka and Hiroyuki Takahashi). The 75 g sizing is perfect for air travel and fits nicely into our purse.

These look fantastic! Love that they have different patterned packaging as well. Would look great on your nightstand or shelf ^-^ I wonder if they have those in the States…

I understand you can buy it online in USD. Don’t think it is in US stores as yet.
