Marc Jacobs Makes a Splash

Don’t you just love how even the simplest of things can inspire an entire collection? We’re talking about the Marc Jacobs 2010 Splash CollectionApple, Pomegranate and Biscotti ($85 / US $68 each), and inspired by nothing more than sitting in an open-air patisserie and indulging in the sweetest of treats, macaroons.

These limited edition fragrances are light and crisp, making them the perfect accompaniment to a summer’s day. A citrus floral with top notes of freesia and orange flower, mid notes of pistachio blossom and creamy, soft vanilla, will cause you to close your eyes and almost taste the crunch of a perfect Biscotti. Pomegranate is a sweet summer pie, a fruity floral with top notes of mandarin flowers and bergamot, mid notes of rhubarb, violet and pomegranate and Apple, a refreshing fruity fragrance with top notes of juicy pear, lemon and grapefruit; mid notes of rosemary, Egyptian jasmine absolute and magnolia will satisfy every craving.

Love the concept and the packaging…but the scents weren’t for me (but fragrance such a personal thing!).
