DuWop’s Cristina Bartolucci Offers Tips on How to Wear Spring’s Must-Have Makeup Trends

Friday, March 5, 2010

From runway to real way, Cristina Bartolucci, Founder and Creative Director of DuWop reveals the newest spring trends and offers expert advice on how we can wear these looks without drastically changing our beauty routines.

“This season’s trends are a lot of fun, but it’s important for women to avoid going overboard,” says Cristina Bartolucci. “Women need to tailor each trend to match their lifestyle and select the trends they are most comfortable with.”

Styles that will be very popular this spring include dramatic red lips, long lush lashes and soft shimmering skin. Cristina offers these tips on how we can achieve these looks:

Red Lips

Red lipstick is a timeless classic, but this spring it will be more popular than it has been in recent years. Picking the right shade of red can be hard, however, when chosen wisely, red lips are universally flattering.

DuWop recognized the difficulty in selecting the right shade and created Private Red with this in mind. Private Red lipstick is the first in its kind as it is a colour changing lipstick that morphs into each woman’s personal red. Private Red’s proprietary formula includes a blend of three naturally derived pigments and the technology behind the “mood lipsticks” of the 70’s to provide a vibrant red shade that adapts to suit each individual’s colouring.

Lush Lashes

Voluptuous lashes will be huge this spring. From faux lashes to lash extensions, women will be going to great lengths to lengthen lashes. For those who aren’t ready for semi-permanent lash extensions, bold mascaras will also do the trick. Women who chose to lengthen their lashes with mascara will be opting for volume enhancing and lengthening products.

Shimmering Skin

This spring, forget about the fake-and-bake look - thank goodness! Soft shimmering skin is in and women will be creating more subtle ethereal looking glows. Toss those heavy bronzers and purchase body shimmers instead.
