Once again Chanel has created a stunning spring colour collection - Les Impressions de Chanel Collection. Yes, we are fans and are more than happy to gush about it.
Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Make Up, used this new collection - which has very soft “nude” shades, pinks, light browns and beiges as well as touches of gold and green - for the Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show.
“I focused the make-up on Nature: Chic beige tones, very pure, fresh and optimistic with a slight touch of rebellion: the tattoos!” said Philips. Ah yes, those very cool tattoos. We love them!
Here is how Peter Philips created this chic outdoors look:

SATIN-LIKE TRANSPARENT COMPLEXION
Philips worked on the models’ complexion using Pro Lumière foundation which he usually uses for shows as it gives a satin-like ultra-professional finish. He then applied just a touch of Poudre Universelle Libre.
WARM AND NATURAL EYES
The eyes were made up with Les 4 Ombres in Kaska Beige. Warm yet natural shades of browns, deep purples and beiges with a touch of gold and olive green.

NATURAL LIPS
The lips were natural and fresh, Le Crayon Lèvres in Beige and Rouge Allure in Insouciante were applied to the lips.
FRESH CHEEKS
Philips wanted round doll-like cheeks with a healthy glow. He used Joues Contraste in Imprévu that beautifully created that fresh-outdoor look. He then applied Chanel`s limited edition Empreinte de CHANEL, to reinforce this idea of freshness and to give a subtle glow with shades of gold and apricot.
NAILS
On the nails, Le Vernis in Particulière, an incredibly sophisticated taupe colour with a hint of grey, very chic.

THE TATTOOS
For the show, Peter Philips wanted to play with the Chanel symbols: the pearls, the chains, wheat, as well as blossoms and small swallows who usually announce the arrival of spring. He placed the tattoos on different parts of the body, in an elegant yet sensual manner, chic and sexy: On the décolleté, the wrists and thighs like a garter. Such an unusual idea. And what a statement!
