Today’s question is one we’ve all probably wondered at some point…

Q: How long do I need to wait before I can wash my hair after having highlights or colour?

A: It is ok to wash your hair at anytime after your colour service, provided that you use a colour safe shampoo, like Redken Color Extend, which has an anti-fade complex. i used to have healthy,silky,soft,shiny and STRAIGHT hair..then i got influenced with all the heat styling without any protection and completely fried my hair. i recently got my waist length hair cut into a shoulder length hairstyle in an attempt to get rid of split ends and dryness..apparently, i still have my ends a little dry and its poofy and i HATE it. i want my hair back at its orginal healthy state because i know i have straight hair not curly. also my roots are straight and soft but once you get at the mid lengths it turns horrible..ive started oiling my hair with olive oil and jojoba oil two weeks back. please give me advice on how to bring my natural hair back i am desperate! ive also have some questions to ask you…
1. what is the BEST shampoo line for my hair type and is effective also?
2. how many times a week should i oil my hair and which oil is the best?
3. i have oily hair also so how many times a week should i shampoo?
4. do you think the dry ends would repair on its own or would i have to get it trimmed again once my hair grows back?
most importantly pleaaase gimme advice ASAP. thank you (:

I have thick Naturally curly hair (type 3b) that borders on dry and course. I also color it. I also am a swimmer. I need a shampoo/conditioner combo that is sulfate free, so that it will remove the chlorine from my hair without damaging my color or curls. Any recommendations?
