Spacious rooms feature dream-inducing beds, huge bathrooms and plenty of space to stash your wardrobe (and new additions!). We’re super excited about our panel of experts who will answer a question a week, starting October, about skincare, makeup, hair and oral health and we can’t wait to read your questions, so send them in by September 24th, so we can get started!
Located in the trendy Liberty Village in Toronto, we know Salon Tocci is dedicated to the urban professionals who grace its front doors, so we’re thrilled salon owner Antonio Tocci, who has worked on the tresses of song birds Eva Avila and Chantel Kreviazuk, will take the time out of his hectic schedule styling fashion shoots and working on photo shoots to answer our everyday hair dilemmas.
Melanie Hutchinson, National Training Manager for Benefit Cosmetics Canada will be giving us the benefit (heehee!) of all her knowledge when it comes to her 12 years of experience in the beauty industry. Melanie will take you from a casual, work-appropriate look to glamour girl with a swoop of her makeup brush.
Sara Whittaker, National Director of Education for Clinique Canada

For the fifth year, rock-it promotions, inc., turned one of the Intercontinental Hotel Toronto Yorkville’s suites into the Tastemakers Lounge, a celebrity gifting suite. Talent and VIPs in town for the Toronto International Film Festival were gifted with cosmetics from Joe Fresh Beauty, board games from Mattel, tasty treats from Sexy Gourmet Food Co., apparel from local eco-label Guats, totes from Vancouver-based Bring Your Own Bag (BYOB), gift certificates from Didier, prestige fragrance for men and women from D&G and more. Celebs were even able to get camera-ready hair for the red carpet with the assistance from Yorkville salon Chiggy’s Touch.
Photojournalist Rosie Levine, also joined the Tastemakers Lounge, inviting guests to participate in her forthcoming book, Celebrity Encounters of the Peace-ful Kind. For the past few years, she’s been photographing numerous celebrities casually and candidly flashing the peace sign, including Katie Couric, Morgan Freeman and Justin Timberlake. Proceeds from the book will be donated to War Child.
Lipstick Powder N Paint were onsite with our trusty Flip video camera to see what was happening in this fabulous lounge.
