We adore watching the Oscars and are always camped-out in front of the television from start to finish. As per usual, the ladies of the “Red Carpet” looked amazing in their designer gowns and eye-catching bling.
MAKEUP
Kate Winslet, winner of an Oscar for her role in The Reader, looked absolutely stunning in an asymmetrical Atelier Yves Saint Laurent gown and Chopard jewels. Celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey created her classic, natural look. Here are the products she used:
- Winslet’s skin was first prepped with Lancôme La Base Pro primer to create a smooth canvas for a polished complexion.
- Lancôme Brow Expert in Naturel was lightly brushed on the brows to play up their natural shape.
- Jillian Dempsey for Avon Pro Eyeshadow Trio in Ice Shimmer was applied to the eyes and the lashes were coated with Jillian Dempsey for Avon Pro Mascara in Black.
- To create a sheer, neutral colored lip, Lancôme Color Fever Lipstick in Old Flame was applied for a soft, matte finish.
HAIR
Frederic Fekkai’s Renato Campora tended to Winslet’s tresses and created a modern day Grace Kelly, complimenting her total look and silhouette. Here are the products she used:
- To begin, Frederic Fekkai’s More All Day Density Styling Whip was applied to Winslet’s wet hair.
- Next, her hair was blow-dried smooth using a Fekkai Extra Large Round Brush to create some volume.
- Campora then took a 1 inch curling iron and split the hair into sections. The hair from each section was wrapped around the curling iron, creating soft waves, and then allowed to set for 20 minutes.
- Winslet’s hair was brushed through and Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra Light Finishing Crème was applied to the ends, to help roll hair under.
- The look was finished with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.
This look is definitely a winner!
