Gorgeous Skin in Your 20s, 30s and 40s

Skin care can be overwhelming. There are many products on the market, and a number of brands that claim to provide results.

Technology advances very quickly in the beauty business. New ingredients are introduced that offer better results. If you haven’t changed brands or switched up your routine in five years – or longer – it is time to do so.

Your skin changes with each decade, and that means new issues and new ways to deal with them. Besides eating lots of antioxidant-rich foods, like green tea and blueberries, and drinking a lot of water, there are a few key products that you can use to look your best.

If you are lucky enough to be in this decade, you can start protecting your skin from future damage. The most distructive thing for your complexion is the sun. Stay out of it if you can. And definitely wear sunscreen when you are exposed, even in the winter.

Dermalogica Solar Defense Wipes SPF15 are pre-moistened with powerful sunscreen for easy, on-the-go protection. They are free from artificial colours and fragrances, making them great for all skin types.

Skin starts to change – becoming dry, dull and uneven, thanks to the weakening of your skin’s natural barrier. It is very important to moisturize the face regularly. For daytime, try a product that contains a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 15. You should always protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.

Bioré DUAL FUSION Moisturizer + SPF 30 is a good choice. The silky formula is not greasy, and the SPF 30 protects, to minimize the effects of daily UV exposure.

At this point you start to lose collagen in the skin. This is when lines and wrinkles form. A rich eye cream is great for keeping you from looking tired and stressed out.

Dermaglow Retinol-Px Intense Eye Therapy blends peptides and pure retinol to transform the look of your skin. Fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles are reduced. Retinol promotes younger skin by increasing collagen and improving the elasticity.

Smoking in your 20s is the other destructive force, in addition to the sun. It breaks down the collogen underneath your skin and essentially speeds up the aging process. No smoking!

Great article. Do you have a good suggestion for a night time moisturizer for 30s?

I personally have been using the new Elizabeth Arden INTERVENE Stress Recovery Night Cream, but I also really like the Biotherm RIDES REPAIR NIGHT Cream.
